I had Incendia on my laptop.  When to create a PDF of the online help.  When Adobe Acrobat reader tried to open the PDF, it told me of a new update.  I installed it.  Incendia hasn't worked since.  I re-formated my hard drive, reloaded windows and Incendia.  It loaded right up.  I then installed Firefox, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Acrobat.  Incendia has refused to work since.  I had Incendia on an old P1 desktop running XP and was using it to render some parameters.  Everything worked fine until about about an hour ago.  Incendia wouldn't load.  I rebooted.  What greeted me when the system came back up?  A message box from Adobe to install the freshly downloaded update to Adobe Acrobat.

Anyone else seeing a trend here?  If you want to keep Incendia working, I'd delete Adobe Acrobat Reader and find an alternative.  Maybe something like Foxit (www.download.com/Foxit-PDF-Rea…).  Now I am off to re-load windows and see if it fixes anything. :(
D.

UPDATE: On the XP machine, I un-installed Acrobat Reader, re-installed Incendia, and it works again!  Now if I can nly get it working on the faster machine....

2nd Update: I removed Acrobat from my laptop and Incendia still would not run.  I re-installed it.  Still no go.  I "repaired" Vista with my install CD.  Nothing.  I then re-formatted my drive (2nd time this weekend) and re-installed all my software - Incendia last of all and with something other than Acrobat.  It worked...kinda.  No flickering, but lots of screen updates.  I was able to get out the two pieces I just posted before I shut the program down to do something else.  Guess what won't re-start.  :(

I've added an additional update on this problem here (djeaton3162.deviantart.com/jou…).  I'd like to get your input here (tinyurl.com/59wm4k).

Well, I wish I had the program (love debugging) and have enough comps not to worry about reinstall issues.
