On a recent journal piece (…), I changed my "mood icon" from distressed to relieved and stated the following: "We just have to trust God and His plan for our lives. It is our reaction to these things that happen to us that is more important than the event itself."  I made a conscious decision to do everything I could, but to not stress over things that God, not me, is in control of.  As you heard in my last post, my insurance has been reinstated.  That was a HUGE blessing.  On top of that though, one of my internet friends suspected that all these medical expenses were not in my budget and sent me a gift of some money.  It was hundreds of dollars - and the EXACT amount that our unplanned medical expenses  from the last three weeks totaled up to.  Some may chalk that up to coincidence.  I know God's hand when I see it though.  If anything deserves an "awestruck" mood icon, this is it....

Nothing happens on accident brother! There are no coincidences in this life, but the miraculous work of our greater power, however/whoever you might see/name/believe in...

Congratulations. :excited: Our God is an awesome God. I always tell people when we stop praying for our will to be done and start praying for God's will to be done in our lives we will see things change. Maybe not over night but definitely God knows what's in our best interest and he always takes care of his own. Again Congratulations.'s

God Bless

I've been lurking around for the past few weeks (which you've probably noticed) because of how busy I've been, but I wanted to pause and comment. Gof is awesome isn't He?! He never fails to pull through for us when we finally decide to just leave things to Him. I'm glad your (and our) prayers have been answered. This seriously has made my day! (I'm graduateing from the Master's Commission program tonight btw)

This is wonderful news, Daniel!! The Lord said He would always provide our needs. God does answer prayers, it may not always be what we ask for, but what is best for us.................and God doesn't make mistakes!!! PTL!!

Wonderful news Daniel. A breath from God for you.

I remember once in Cairo I was in a taxi with some friends (they don't have buses) a young girl was weaving dangerously amongst the traffic with a baby in her arms. She was trying to sell text from the Koran to those who were stuck in the traffic. The Egyptian friends I was with reached out and gave her money. I was shocked by the young girl, it was explained to me that as they had been looking after me all day they had missed prayers and by helping this girl who gets NO benefits at all that is their prayer. I took them both for dinner in the 5 Star hotel I was staying in and gave them my unopened copy of Cosmo. You would think they had been given a bag of gold. They couldn't read English so I don't think it would have done much harm...They were a newly married couple, cousins of a friend in the UK and all they really wanted was for me to leave them in my hotel room for a couple of hours...

I spoke to others about this incident of giving instead of one or more of their 5 daily prayers and Muslims believe that even if you are down to your last penny and you make an act of contrition it will come back to you 1,000 fold. However that's not why they do it. I heard many similar stories on my travels.

Like God is watching us Daniel and taking notice of what we do and how we live.
